Axually. That band was a Brit. band who didn't know what to call themselves; but they knew they wanted the name to sound "American".
So they literally threw a dart at the map of the U.S. and it landed on Bay City, Mich.
And the rest, my friend, is History!!
No other help? Did we actually name them all?
Isn't Ureathra Franklin from D-Town?
How bout Anita Baker?
Anyone out there care to share their Home State Music list?

I actually heard that through someone but wasn't sure if it was true or not.

Yep.
One of the blokes said it.
Just a little trivia item.
Maddonna: was from Bay City, then Rochester, Mi.
I go by her old High School, Rochester Adams High, on my way to work. I imagine they have quite a display involving her, at the school, in one of the halls. It's not every day that a HS can claim the top entertainment performer in the world in their recent history.
